After consultation with schools, parents and other stakeholders, the Calgary Board of Education is pleased to announce that $1.5 million dollars has been designated for full-day kindergarten programs beginning in September 2005.
Because limited funding does not allow for all schools to be able to offer full-day Kindergarten, the Board determined that the focus of the full-day Kindergarten programs would be to support the children who will benefit most from additional time at school.
